It is generally recognized that a number of undesirable conditions in the head and neck can be corrected or improved by stimulating circulation in the affected area. Some of the many techniques developed under the general heading of physical therapy have this as a primary objective. It is common experience of almost everyone that spells of dizziness or other mental misfunctioning can frequently be relieved by lying down with the head somewhat lower than the rest of the body.
