“The lung-protector herein described is an improvement upon the lung-protectors now in general use when used in the manner and for the purpose for which ordinary lung-protectors are generally employed—that is, to aid in keeping the chest and the back between the shoulders warm in cold weather; but it is designed to perform a much more important function—viz., to serve as a ready and convenient medium by which any liquid medical preparation maybe transmitted continuously to the skin of the wearer while he or she is attending to his or her ordinary duties instead of having the medicated preparation rubbed on twice a day.”
